Located in the historic, old part of Reykjavík in an area to the west of the city called Vestur Baer this charming 125 m² town house designed by the famous State architect of Iceland Guðjón Samúelsson was built in the 1930s as a family home. Whilst it is a preserved or listed building it has been tastefully renovated to modern standards whilst retaining its original character. The city centre on Reykjavík with its harbor, museums, art galleries, shopping centre, theaters, cafés and restaurants is a comfortable 10 minute walk from the house.
The House
The house is on three levels with the main entrance, kitchen, dining room and lounge on the first floor. The master double bedroom with en-suite bathroom is on the second floor. In the basement or ground floor are two single bedrooms, one double bedroom with two single beds that can be pushed together, a family bathroom, small lounge area and access to the outside patio BBQ area.
The kitchen is fully equipped with oven/stove, microwave and fridge freezer. There Is a washing machine located in the main bathroom. In the lounge there is a television [local channels] DVD player and wireless Internet facility.
